Did you know fine chocolate is like fine wine? From fruity to earthy, floral to warm spices, join fine chocolate maker Todd Oliver as he takes us on a world tour of rare chocolate.
Our journey begins with a brief tour of the early history of cacao, and what differentiates ‘fine’ cacao from bulk chocolate. As a follow up, we will walk through the process of bean-to-bar chocolate making. You’ll experience taking roasted cocoa beans in your hand and hearing the ‘crack’ of the bean, enjoying the taste of the nib. As Todd shares some of his favorite chocolates, you’ll become versed in how to taste and judge chocolate for yourself. As a take home gift, you’ll have the opportunity to take a bar of your favorite chocolate home with you. We promise you’ll never see chocolate the same!
