I’m a 70-Pound Lap Dog and I’m Ready for Love!

My name is April and I am ready for my happily ever after!  I would like to share my story with you and see if you are my new forever family!

I was found on the streets of San Jose with no chip, no collar and in need of some good care.  I think anyone would need some TLC after living on the street!  The San Jose shelter didn’t have room for me, so I was transferred to the San Martin shelter, and then (thank goodness!) Andrea Lee from SVPP rescued me!

After some on-going medical treatment for allergies, ear infections and skin infections, I am recovering beautifully and am blossoming in my foster home!  I have discovered so much joy!  Let’s see…napping and playing with my toys are at the top of my list.  Favorite toys?  Easy!  A stuffed alien and a stuffed cow since they both have their stuffing still! I adore walks (especially if I can carry one of my toys) and car rides anytime, anywhere!  You can see me in action here!

Oh, and don’t let me forget treats!  I do best on a healthy canine diet but ohhhh, the treats!!!   The good news is that I get treats during training and this inspires me to be a better me!

And, even though I weigh in at 70 pounds (as a healthy pitty mix), I am a lap dog, love bug and cuddle bunny at heart!  Can a dog also be a bug and a bunny?  I can!

I would love to be in your family and be on your lap!  I would be happy and do best as the only pet in the home and with adults.

Love,

April
