You Can Celebrate the New Year with a New Pet! Hope Says Seniors are Best!

Happy New Year!  My name is Hope and I am looking for my forever family.  If you made a New Year resolution to adopt a loving and sweet dog, I could be your girl!

I am a senior Chihuahua, and so are my fellow BFFs, RosieNora and Papi. We were all surrendered to municipal shelters and were rescued by SVPP!  We are all awesome (and I love my BFFs!), but here are a few reasons why you might fall in love with me!

I am sweet, loving, curious, and quiet!  Can you believe it?  A quiet Chihuahua! I’m friendly and pretty chill.  I like other people and pets, but I’m not a pest and I approach others calmly.  I don’t bother too much with toys — I am more interested in a cuddle, a good nap and especially a good meal, since I was underfed and always hungry before I was rescued!  I’m always up for a walk but need to keep it easy, and stairs aren’t my jam. I’m very healthy and happy!

My foster mom, Kim and a few of her friends want everyone to know why senior pets — especially us Chihuahuas — are such great choices.  Here you go!

5. Seniors tend to be house-trained and we don't chew up your furniture!

4. We are loyal and don’t demand too much -- just some good food, a soft warm bed and a few cuddles (okay, maybe a few treats if you insist)!

3. We have outgrown the puppy crazies and no longer nip you for fun!

2. We like to stop and smell the roses on our walks, reminding you to do the same.

1. We are the perfect work from home partners — and we won't jump into your Zoom meeting unexpectedly!
